My LocalGov Drupal contributions for December 2025
What with the move from GitHub to Drupal.org and Christmas holidays being upon us, this month was not as productive as usual.
- A lot of time this month was taken up with helping people figure out the Drupal.org workflow for contributing to Drupal/LocalGov Drupal, now that we have finally moved all our projects over there.
- And then more time migrating some issues and PR to Drupal issues and MRs. One of the more frustrating parts of the jobs.
- When using LinkIt, you can only link to published pages on your LocalGov Drupal website. We now have a PR to allow you to link to unpublished pages, and also set the word "Unpublished" before each unpublished node in the LinkIt suggestions list.
- Some LGD users have mentioned an issue with our Top Tasks showing three in a row, because it makes it look like each task is a title of a column if you have a 3-column layout under it. So now we have a PR to allow you set a theme setting to say how many there should be per row.
- A lot of councils want structured content (paragraphs) on many content types. We are going to trial this first with services pages. Here's an MR (on our fancy new Drupal.org infrastructure!!!).
- Let's fix some JavaScript coding standards in LocalGov Directories with this MR.
- We've noticed some small inconsistencies with padding/margin for the Media with Text component on small screens. I have an MR ready to fix that now.
- If you create a custom template for your header from LocalGov Base, the header on 404 and 403 pages will still use the old LocalGov Base header. I created an MR to fix that. This was took a lot of head scratching to figure out.
