Once You're 80% Happy with Your Content, Publish It

IndieHackers Podcast with David Smooke of Hacker Noon

Here's two very interesting takeaways I got from the IndieHackers Podcast with David Smooke of Hacker Noon.

I was listening to the IndieHackers Podcast with David Smooke from HackerNoon this morning, and two thoughts struck me:

  1. Once you are about 80% happy with your story/article, publish it. You will not get it ever to the mythical 100% you wanted it to be at.
  2. Choose your distribution channels and optimise for these. For example, click bait titles might work for short term Facebook/Twitter/social media reach; but titles that explain your content might work better for long term findability in Google/Bing/search engines

I send an email once a week with something nice, something quirky, and something else that I think is interesting (all with a web development theme, of course).
